Farmhouse White Shiplap

Get Visual Impact With Shiplap

Farmhouse White is meant to replicate that old white paint found on the interior and exterior of an old farmhouse. The color has been worn by time, but still conjures the memories made over years on the farm.

Forever Barnwood is the only company to offer this product in three unique textures. Farmhouse White is available on all Forever Barnwood products. The most popular application is our 6.25″ Shiplap.

Our barnwood shiplap interior wall is often characterized by long wooden planks mounted horizontally with nickel (small) gaps in between or you can fit them together for a seamless look.

Our shiplap can cover up to 20% more square footage than similarly sized products from competitors. When shopping for shiplap products it is important to understand that our product covers more square footage, for the money, than other comparable products. Our products are reversible, too. One side has a weathered texture the other side features saw marks that are typical of lumber that was milled on a traditional circle saw mill. There are 4 looks to choose from.

Installing Farmhouse White Shiplap can enhance the aesthetic of any space. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the installation process:

    • Preparation: Measure the area where the shiplap will be installed to determine the number of planks needed. Store the shiplap planks in the installation area for at least 48 hours before installation to acclimate them to the room’s humidity.
    • Surface Preparation: Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and free of obstructions. Use a level to mark starting points and ensure straight installation lines.
    • Installation: Begin at the bottom of the wall, placing the first plank level and securing it with nails or screws at each stud. Use a nickel or similar spacer to create consistent gaps between planks if a traditional look is desired. Continue adding planks, checking each row for levelness. For vertical or diagonal installations, adjust starting points and angle cuts accordingly.
    • Finishing Touches: Trim any excess shiplap at edges and corners for a neat finish. Fill nail holes with wood filler if a seamless appearance is desired. Apply a final sealant for added protection, especially in high-moisture areas.
    • For further information, feel free to ask our team, and we’ll be happy to provide you with our expert installation tips.
